This is a record of how the Society was founded. From now on, the history of major undertakings, such as academic conferences and the launch of a journal, will be recorded here as well.
- 2026-10-18 Online membership applications opened Applications for membership are accepted online through a Google account.
- 2026-10-17 Third meeting of the Board of Directors · Privacy Policy version 1.1 took effect Addressed one agenda item, which covered a change to the timing of accepting membership applications, among other matters. Privacy Policy version 1.1 took effect on the same day.
- 2026-10-09 Second meeting of the Board of Directors Addressed 10 agenda items, including the criteria for approving admission.
- 2026-09-11 Bank account opened in the Society’s name Shinhan Bank 100-039-015415 (account holder: 대한재활인공지능학회, the Society’s Korean name). Because the Society has no profit-making business, it keeps only one set of accounts, and therefore has only one bank account.
- 2026-08-31 Unique Number Certificate issued Approved by the Head of Haeundae District Tax Office as an “organization deemed a juristic person” under Article 13 (2) of the Framework Act on National Taxes. Unique Number (NTS) 603-82-83752.
- 2026-08-21 First meeting of the Board of Directors Adopted resolutions confirming the location of the office and concerning the opening of a financial account and the separation of accounts.
- 2026-08-09 Inaugural General Meeting Held at Kyungbok University to address nine agenda items, including adoption of the Articles of Association; election of officers; enactment of the Regulations on Accounting and Reimbursement of Actual Expenses, the Membership Regulations, and the Regulations on the Election of Officers; determination of the office location; and confirmation of the Society’s seal. The name of the Society was set as 대한재활인공지능학회 (English name: Korean Society for Artificial Intelligence in Rehabilitation; abbreviation: KSAIR).
- 2026-08-08 First meeting of founding members Discussed the direction of the Society’s founding, the division of roles, and initial areas of activity. Identified as key tasks the linkage between integrated community care and motion analysis, and the question of what information should be derived from movement data.
- 2026-08-02 Founding documents prepared Prepared the draft Articles of Association (8 chapters, 36 articles), the Regulations on Accounting and Reimbursement of Actual Expenses, the Membership Regulations, the Regulations on the Election of Officers, the journal-related regulations (research ethics, editorial board, manuscript submission, and peer review), and the documents for the Inaugural General Meeting. Completed a survey of related academic societies in Korea, covering five groups of fields.
