Applications for membership are accepted only online, using a Google account. You can apply with a Gmail account or with a Google account issued by your school or workplace.

Application Procedure
- Application — Follow the link above to the member service, log in with your Google account, and submit the membership application form. The form asks for your name, affiliation, position, and academic status, and the membership category you wish to join (Regular Member, Associate Member, or Institutional Member).
- Review and notification — Applications for Regular or Associate Membership that meet the requirements are checked by the President (or a Director designated by the President) against the criteria for approving admission set by the Board of Directors, and you will be notified of the result. The Board of Directors does not meet separately for each application. Applications for Institutional or Special Membership, applications for which it is unclear whether the requirements are met, and similar cases are deliberated separately by the Board of Directors (Agenda Item No. 7 of the second meeting of the Board of Directors, October 9, 2026).
- Payment of annual dues — Pay by bank transfer to the account held in the Society’s name. Card payments and simple-payment services are not accepted. After you apply, the account, the amount, and the depositor name are shown at My Page (마이페이지) → 「납부 안내」 (Payment Information). You may pay before the review is complete; if your admission is not approved, or if you withdraw your application before it is approved, the payment will be refunded. The admission fee is waived.
You will be notified of the result by email, and it will also be shown on My Page. Membership begins once your admission has been approved and payment of the annual dues has been confirmed (Article 7 (2) of the Membership Regulations).
Term of Membership
Membership is valid until December 31 of the year in which the dues are paid; if the following year’s dues are not paid, the exercise of membership rights is suspended (Article 8 of the Membership Regulations). A Regular Member may become a Life Member by paying life membership dues (Article 2-2 of the Membership Regulations, added on October 9, 2026), but life membership dues are not yet being accepted. Please Note
- The Society contacts you at the email address of the Google account you log in with. We do not collect resident registration numbers, dates of birth, addresses, telephone numbers, or license numbers.
- If you do not have a Google account, you can create one with Google free of charge. If you create a new account, please create it with a Gmail address.
- Google login may not work if the page is opened inside an app such as KakaoTalk. Please open it in a browser such as Chrome, Safari, or Samsung Internet.
- Persons under 14 years of age cannot apply.
